We’re confident about our unique cleaning system, which will remove more stains and eliminate germs and bacteria. Electrodry’s dry-cleaning solutions dissolve the body oils and grease that help dirt cling to fabric. Once the dirt has been broken down, we use a hot water extraction process to rinse out all the grime and bacteria, leaving your sofa looking and feeling cleaner and more hygienic.

What Makes Electrodry Wollongong Different?

White Cotton and Linen Fabrics
Light-coloured natural fabrics are the most challenging to clean because they can be prone to watermarks. These fabrics need to be dry cleaned for best results. Our technicians use Electrodry’s dry cleaning solution to break down oil and dirt in your sofa, without risking damaging watermarks. This process is performed by hand and is very effective, although it may not have quite the same results as the hot water extraction methods we can use on more robust fabrics.
Please note - The cleaning of natural fabrics such as cotton and linen can be more time consuming and chemical intensive than cleaning synthetic fabrics, hence an additional charge of up to $10 per seating position may apply for natural fabrics.
Patterned Cotton and Linen Fabrics
These fabrics are generally more processed than white cottons and linens, and are less delicate. However, we still have to be wary of watermarks or dye migration when using a hot water extraction method. We begin by pre-treating your lounge with Electrodry’s dry cleaning solution, to release the grease and grime. Then, we apply a spray that stabilises the colours and prevents browning. Next, we clean your lounge using our Healthguard cleaning solution, getting rid of mould and bacteria before flushing out the fabric with a hot water extraction clean to remove dirt and leave your lounge looking great.

Synthetic Fabrics
Synthetic fabrics like polypropylene and polyester are less prone to issues like dye migration. We first use a neutral cleaning pre-spray to remove a build-up of body oils and grease, and then a water emulsified dry cleaning solution to deal with stubborn dirt and grime. We finish with hot water extraction, to rinse out the lounge and remove the dirt.
