What Makes Electrodry’s Tile and Grout Cleaning Service Different To Other Companies?

What Makes Electrodry’s Tile and Grout Cleaning Service Different To Other Companies?

Most tile cleaning companies rely on high water pressure to clean your floors. This can result in damage to your grout lines where the grout is removed due to pressure and possible damage to your walls due to the extreme amounts of water.

Electrodry focuses on detailed training to ensure that our technicians use far less water and pressure during your clean. We thoroughly and safely agitate our products into the floor ensuring a more efficient and gentle clean. Electrodry also uses much safer yet effective products whereas many other companies use highly corrosive and potentially dangerous chemicals.

Frequently Asked Questions

A tile and grout cleaning service will require several hours for a small job through to a whole day for larger jobs.

Tile and Grout cleaning usually costs per metre for porcelain tiles. Natural stone tiles and porous tiles are usually more expensive to clean and additional charges will usually apply for bathrooms, toilets and showers depending on their size and layout. The minimum costs for an Electrodry Tile and Grout cleaning service is $350.

Cleaning grout lines and porous or textured tiles requires tailored cleaning solutions that draw out the grease, grime and contaminants. Some of the toughest contaminants to remove are the residues from cleaning solutions and soap scum in the bathroom and laundry.

The cleaning solutions need to be agitated with a grout brush or high-speed polisher and flushed away with a high-pressure cleaning system. A skilled professional tile and grout cleaner will achieve the best possible cleaning results.

Electrodry’s deep clean is a highly effective system for the removal of general grime, soiling and grease. However, most cleaning chemicals and soaps are alkaline and this leads to a build-up of chemical residue and soap scum on the tiles. Electrodry’s Restorative clean utilises a unique additional step in the cleaning process whereby we introduce an acidic clean to break down the chemical residue and soap scum.

Most cleaning chemicals and soaps are alkaline and this leads to a build-up of chemical residue and soap scum on the tiles. Electrodry’s Restorative Clean utilises a unique acidic clean to break down the chemical residue and soap scum that generally can’t be removed otherwise.

Grout is naturally very porous. Sealing the grout line will make staining and soiling of the grout be far less. It also means that when Electrodry cleans your tiles next time the results will be even better.

Electrodry can apply a clear penetrating sealer to your grout lines that will enable you to remove more dirt and grime during regular cleaning and help prevent permanent staining.

Our penetrating grout sealant has a 5-year life but may be subject to some staining. The life of tile sealant varies depending on the tile and type of sealant used.

Only if your tiles are porous. Most man-made tiles are not porous and do not require sealing. If your tiles are made of stone, then they should be sealed.

Sealing will make cleaning natural tiles easier as well, as the surface will be less porous. A clear penetrating sealer repels water and oil-based contaminants and will prevent stains.

As part of the Bathroom package we will clean the first/lowest row of tiles around the bathroom. We will happily clean the rest of your wall tiles cleaned at an additional cost.

Mould on the tiles or grout in your shower can be treated, however in a small number of cases mould may create a permanent stain in the grout. Mould trapped beneath the silicone is likely to remain after cleaning. This is because mould under silicone cannot be removed without first removing the silicone.

Unfortunately, some stains can never be removed. Stains such as red wine or coffee in a grout line or on stone tiles may cause permanent discolouration.

Cleaning will not damage your tiles or grout however, in some rare instances, loose grout may be lifted in the cleaning process. Any loose grout is usually evident at the time of the demonstration clean and quoting process, but this isn’t always the case.

When cleaning stone we obviously remove the oil and soiling on the surface. When this is removed the true state of the stone is revealed. Unfortunately, many stones wear away with time and use and after a deep clean, you may find that the polished finish of the stone has worn away. This can be brought back with polishing.

We recommend that you use a neutral tile cleaning solution such as TilePro, which is both safe and effective for your floors.
