Have you tried Cleaning Mould Only

We will also treat air-borne spores using a special antimicrobial mist to ensure that the indoor air quality is restored to healthier levels.

Is Mould Affecting your Health
Do you suffer from itchy eyes and runny nose, shortness of breath or you just generally feel a little run down? Mould may be the cause of your ill health. There are over 1000 types of identified mould and approximately 5% contain mycotoxins that are poisonous to humans. Long term exposure to other mould types can also illicit harmful allergic reactions. If you can see mould in your home, you need to effectively treat it. More information about the possible health repercussions of mould are available from your local public health unit.

Pricing is determined at the time of inspection and is based on the surface area affected, the level of contamination and the building material e.g. brick, gyprock or timber. The costs of anti-microbial misting varies depending on the size of the house. Mould treatment is specialised work that requires a large amount of personal protective equipment. due to set-up and protective equipment required, the minimum charge for a mould treatment service is $.

Electrodry FAQ Mould 4
If you have pets, they will not be allowed in the house during the treatment. We also recommend removing any indoor plants outside while we undertake the service.

No-one is to be in the household during or for a period of 5 hours after the treatment.

All areas to be micro-cleaned need to be easily accessible. We ask that you move any furniture/whitegoods prior to our attendance. We will take the utmost care during the service, placing protective sheets over your heavy furniture and floors throughout the service. Your technician will discuss this with you in more detail at the time of inspection.

Mould is ugly and can be potentially bad for your health.

It typically becomes worse in colder months, so you need to be more aware of mould growth during these times.

While more severe infestations will require professional remediation, there are some easy ways to prevent mould growth in your home.

First, there are a few things you need to know about mould.

· Mould needs moisture to grow, or an environment where the relative humidity is regularly above 50%.

· UV light will target many types of mould.

· Mould grows on almost any porous surface.

This is how you can prevent mould.

1. Clean the exhaust fan in your bathroom, laundry and kitchen regularly, if you have one.

2. Keep the exhaust fan on for 20 minutes after your shower to clear the steam out of the room.

3. Open windows to let natural light in.

4. For mould in closets or bedrooms buy a few desiccant dehumidifiers or "moisture eaters" such as Damp-Rid. They are effective at keeping humidity levels in check.

5. Condensation issues can cause mould, so installing a dehumidifier can be an option. A dehumidifier will continually take moisture out of the air to reduce the relative humidity.

6. A concentrated mould issue may be a sign of a leak in the premises and a plumber should be called.

7. Mould that starts at the floor and rises up the wall means there may be an issue with drainage under the home and rising dampness. A plumber or building inspector can help.

Mould is in the air that we breathe every day. Microscopic mould spores are like pollen and float around in the air, and when they land in a location with a food source, moisture and preferably minimal air flow, mould will grow.

Spray the area with a 1:1 mix of water and white vinegar. This will kill most mould types. Allow to dry, then spray and wipe mould away with a cloth. If a stain remains then use a bleach (such as Exit Mould) to remove the colouring from mould waste. Keep in mind that the bleach isn't killing the mould, just removing the colouring. If the area affected is bigger than 1sqm we recommend professional mould treatment.

NO MOISTURE = NO GROWTH. Do everything you can to minimise moisture. Fix any water leaks, control humidity and condensation with dehumidifiers, air-conditioners or building works. To reduce humidity and moisture in the bathroom, use an effective exhaust fan and heat lamp in additon to creating sufficient ventilation.

It depends on the situation. We have health and safety regulations that we need to follow, so we will need to assess the area before undertaking any work.

We can treat mould in a car, however due to the unqiue environment in a car we cannot guarantee that all all the mould stains will be removed, or that mould growth will not re-occur.

Yes, we can treat mould on the inside of walls however we need to remove the gyprock as part of this process.

Most outside mould can be treated if on concrete, synthetic grass, brick work, fences, roofs (pending height safety), among others.

Our technician can complete a visual assessment including taking a moisture measurement. If we cannot determine the issue, we can complete a micro-misting to assist in removing the odour. If the odour returns this indicates there is an ongoing problem. If you live in Brisbane, a senior mould technician can complete an airborne particulate sample and provide an independent air quality report.

A technician can inspect the area, however will need to put a hole in the wall to be able to confirm the presence of mould. The hole is typically the size of a squash ball. If mould is present we may need to remove the gyprock in some areas as we treat the mould.

Once mould is visibly growing, the number of spores in the air is higher than normal. If these spores are not removed, there is a higher likelihood that mould will grow again in the same or a different area.

We can apply our patented antimicrobial to the soft fabric, before cleaning the material with our normal cleaning processes. However we cannot guarantee to remove mould staining, and offer no warranty on this work.
