Our teams use a basic four-step cleaning system, although some steps are tailored to the unique needs of your lounge suite. Our dry cleaning solution dissolves the oily build-up that binds dirt to the fabric. Once the oil is broken down, it is much easier to rinse out grime and dirt using a hot water extraction process. This process leaves your lounge fabric looking great!

White Cotton and Linen Fabrics
Did you know that chairs and lounges upholstered with light-coloured natural fabrics are the most challenging to clean? This is because they can be prone to watermarks. To avoid this, these fabrics need to be dry cleaned for best results. Our technicians use Electrodry’s dry cleaning solution to break down oil and dirt in your sofa, without risking damaging watermarks. This process is performed by hand and is very effective, although it may not have quite the same results as the hot water extraction methods we can use on more robust fabrics.
Please note - The cleaning of natural fabrics such as cotton and linen can be more time consuming and chemical intensive than cleaning synthetic fabrics, hence an additional charge of up to $10 per seating position may apply for natural fabrics.
Patterned Cotton and Linen Fabrics
These fabrics are generally more processed than white cottons and linens, and are less delicate. We still have to be wary of watermarks or dye migration when using a hot water extraction method. To reduce this risk, and reduce the amount of water needed, we first prepare the lounge. We begin by pre-treating your lounge with Electrodry’s dry cleaning solution, to release the grease and grime. Then, we apply a spray that stabilises the colours and prevents browning. Next, we clean your lounge using our Healthguard cleaning solution, getting rid of mould and bacteria. The last step is to flush the fabric with a hot water extraction clean, removing dirt, and leaving your lounge looking great.

Synthetic Fabrics
Synthetic fabrics like polypropylene and polyester are less prone to issues like dye migration. We first use a neutral cleaning pre-spray to remove a build-up of body oils and grease, and then a water emulsified dry cleaning solution to treat stubborn dirt and grime. A final hot water extraction rinses out the lounge and removes the dirt.
