The typical price per square metre is $9 to $11. A minimum fee of $350 applies. All quotes and demonstrations incur a $50 fee which is later on discounted from the total cleaning cost.

The minimum price for tile and grout cleaning service is $350 and the typical price per square metre is $9 to $11. All quotes and cleaning demonstrations shall incur a $50 fee that shall be deducted from the cleaning costs if you proceed with the quoted work or another Electrodry service.

Why Do I Need to Keep My Tiles and Grout Clean?
Tiles offer an elegant flooring option without breaking the bank. They are also the traditional choice for
water-risk areas such as bathrooms and showers. Tiles have excellent stain resistance and are generally easy
to
maintain. Regular sweeping and mopping are good ways to keep tiles looking clean.
But even with a diligent
sweeping and mopping habit, tile surfaces and grout lines will become cloudy, dark and dirty. At this point,
no
amount of sweeping and mopping will be enough to dislodge the accumulated dirt and grime. Going for harsh
acids
and chemicals to clean is a definite no-no as they can cause more harm than good.

Your Electrodry technician can provide you with advice on your efflorescence issue but generally efflorescence can be removed with an acid-based cleaner.
Note that some cases of efflorescence may be too severe to be removed; although it may be removed during cleaning, it will likely reappear once the tiles are dry.
While it isn’t dangerous, it doesn’t look appealing and can be an indication of a moisture issue that may lead to structural damage. You will need advice from a water leak detection expert to identify and address the issue.
Limescale, or calcium deposits, are denser and streakier than efflorescence. Acid-based cleaners are your best option for treatment but professional advice is recommended.
Using the wrong cleaning products to treat either limescale or efflorescence can exacerbate the problem or damage your tiles.
It is often caused by the dirt and contaminants pushed into grout lines during the mopping process. We recommend using minimal water to mop your floors, as excess water is absorbed into the grout creating a breeding ground for mould and bacteria.
You can treat smaller mould infestations with white vinegar however larger contaminations may need to be treated by professional mould remediators.
While treatment can remove mould, it will likely return if the source of the mould (usually a water leak) isn’t resolved.
Cloudy tiles can be treated using a 1:4 mixture of vinegar and hot water. You’ll need to lightly mop the floors afterwards with plain water.
Note: the above mixture is not suitable for natural stone such as marble or slate as it can etch the tiles.
